About the Role



You'll be the crucial link between suppliers, production, and customers -- making sure materials and components are in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your ability to plan ahead, build strong relationships, and keep things moving will have a direct impact on manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing



Planning & Coordination



Develop and manage material plans based on forecasts, orders, and stock levels. Work closely with production, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless demand planning. Maintain and adjust MRP data to balance stock efficiency with production needs.

Supplier & Purchasing Management



Build strong relationships with suppliers -- ensuring quality, delivery, and pricing standards are met. Manage purchase orders from issue through to payment, resolving any pricing, quality, or delivery challenges. Negotiate locally for materials and services to meet cost and lead-time goals.

Inventory & Cost Optimisation



Monitor stock levels and make smart recommendations to reduce waste and optimise cash flow. Support cost reduction and lead time improvement initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Work with production, sales, finance, and customer service teams to ensure alignment across the business. Play an active role in supporting new product and solution development projects.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance



Contribute to auditing and improvement activities in line with company standards and systems (IMS). Track key metrics including supplier OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory turns, and invoice performance.

What They're Looking For



Experience & Background:



3+ years in supply chain, logistics, or purchasing (manufacturing environment preferred) Proven track record managing suppliers and planning materials effectively Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience a real plus)

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Organised, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset

Education & Qualifications:



Degree desirable but not essential CIPS Level 4 or working towards (advantageous)
