The Role
We're currently seeking an Experienced Material Stores Supervisor to join our supportive and friendly factory team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in stock management within a joinery or construction environment. You'll work closely with our Buyer to ensure that goods in and stock levels remain accounted for at all times. Some in house training will be provided, but prior experience in a similar role is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Managing internal stock levels
Providing information to purchaser/ buyer of stock orders when required
Gaining a good level of product & part knowledge
Taking responsibility of stock rotation
Being responsible for the security gate code for storeroom
Selecting & distributing correct parts to factory staff in accordance with weekly workload
Managing QR stock control system & ensuring correct procedure is followed
Keeping store clean & tidy at all times
Managing daily goods in & either storing or distributing to the required area
Checking & signing off delivery notes & issuing to buyer
Assisting with the creation of fixing kits & ironmongery boxes
Loading/ unloading vehicles
Checking glass & raising return paperwork
Following weekly task list set by factory manager
Candidate Requirements:
Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude
Reliable, responsible & detail oriented
Previous experience as a store's manager is essential for this role
Experience within the joinery sector is an advantage
Experience in a similar role within the construction industry is a minimum requirement
Friendly & approachable, with good interpersonal skills
Hardworking individual with previous experience in a fast-paced environment
Must be highly coordinated with a desire to maintain a clean, tidy & organised workspace
Good command of verbal & written English
