We have a vacancy for a Materials Delivery Driver. Working from our manufacturing facility in Burgess Hill, the Materials Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering and collecting partitioning materials across the country (including London) in a timely, efficient, safe and reliable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
To carry out various production activities, including but not limited to:
Deliver orders to customers on route in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Conduct safety inspection of vehicles before departure to ensure vehicle is maintained to a roadworthy standard.
Ensure all packages are delivered to the correct address, on time and in an excellent condition.
Complete all required paperwork for delivery and collection, ensuring delivery notes are signed.
Undertake other warehouse duties as and when required including operation of the forklift (training will be provided).
Complete required training to comply with FORS.
Person Specification
Full and clean UK driving licence.
Drivers must be age 25 plus (to comply with our insurance terms)
Experience in driving vans or light goods vehicles.
Ability to lift and move materials with a good understanding of manual handling and safe loading practices.
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to schedules and deadlines.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team and develop and maintain good working relationships.
Health and safety training will be provided.
Hours and Environment
Standard hours are 39 hours per week.
Hours outside of standard hours and additional hours may be required, as necessary for deliveries. Flexibility and occasional Saturday deliveries will be required.
