HOURS OF WORK
Full time positions: 37.5 hours per week
6:00 - 14:30 Monday to Thursday, 6:00 - 11:30 Friday
14:30 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:30 - 17:00 Friday
OBJECTIVE:
To ensure company inventory is safely, securely and accurately received, located and transported.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with Production Supervisors & Lead Operators with regard to the prompt supply of components, solutions and consumables to the Production departments.
Remove de-kits and waste packaging from Production areas.
Correctly and securely transport materials, components and finished goods in a safe and efficient manner around the White Cross and White Lund site to assist in keeping stock accuracy using our internal I.T operating systems
Shrink wrapping of Finished Goods pallets.
Empty all production waste bins.
Maintain good housekeeping in all Warehouse and Production areas.
To ensure all goods stored in racking are placed on unbroken pallets suitable for the load and the racking.
To request and use the appropriate P.P.E. as and when required.
Promote a safe working environment within the Warehouse and Production areas.
Driving Forklift Trucks and ensuring daily checks are done and documented.
To strictly always adhere to the company Health & Safety policies.
To take responsibility for own personal development, in line with agreed Performance and Development Reviews.
In addition to your duties as Material Handler, you will be required to provide support to the production and warehouse functions as and when required.
Upon completion of Material Handler duties, liaise with Production supervisor / Team Leader for instruction on supporting the production area/s.
REQUIREMENTS
Computer/IT -
Comply to internal and External IT operating systems
,
record keeping for all machines and processes they oversee, which requires proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Communication -
Verbal and listening skills to ensure efficient transfer of information between team members. Confident to address and troubleshoot problems (keeping in mind that these might be high-pressure situations and need to keep calm under pressure).
Documentation -
Written skills are important, maintain accurate and clear documentation that proves manufacturing is being carried out in accordance with both internal and external quality systems or regulations. It is important that procedures are followed, but it is also important that it can be shown and proved that procedures were followed.
Measurement -
Monitor and perform routine inspections for identifying when components will be required and acting to deliver and meet production demands. Monitoring the output of automated assembly line or station.
Attention to detail -
Follow strict internal protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Know the manufacturing process in detail, troubleshooting at a trained level and informing senior members of the team to raise corrective actions.
Lean Manufacturing Skills -
Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process or apply six sigma to reduce output variation.
