An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and professional individual to join our busy, friendly department.
You will be working in the materials management team ensuring that our wards have the goods they need to provide care to patients.
You will be the focal point for supplier and customer enquiries, and therefore you will need to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skill. You will also need to enjoy and be comfortable dealing with a high level of telephone work within an open plan environment.
We are looking for a team player with a customer focused approach.
You will have experience of placing or processing orders using a system or may have experience of stock control. You will need to have good communication skills, be well organised, have good attention to detail, be comfortable using Excel and keen to learn more.
Previous experience of working within either procurement, supply chain, finance or the NHS is essential.
Main duties of the job
1.Manipulating and analysing datasets in Excel including data filter, vlookups, IF functions etc and producing user-friendly outputs to support the Matman Project.
2.To reorder stock and non-stock items using the Matman (Resus) system to agreed bin quantities. Replenishing goods to the CIC (Central Inventory Catalogue) but allowing flexibility depending on usage and clinical/medical needs, this will be using either PDA or Templates
3.Order PPE for the wards/departments.
4.Assist in the maintenance of electronic catalogues in GHX liaising with Category Managers and Procurement Team as appropriate
5.Assist with the maintenance of NHS Supply Chain catalogue, ensuring products are available for replenishment,
6.Ensure that the EDC configuration for each department is checked regularly and changes made for obsolete stock
7.Assist the Materials Management Team in site visits, topping up and putting away of goods at ward, theatre and departmental level using bar code systems
8.Liaise with end users, customers, colleagues and other staff about delivery problems, receipting or supply enquiries.
