Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Math Tutor to provide personalized instruction and support to students of various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in mathematics and related fields, with the ability to develop curriculum, utilize learning technology, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Responsibilities



Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in mathematics from KS 1 to GCSE and functional maths , including topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, differential equations, statistics, discrete math, and other advanced subjects. Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style and academic goals. Incorporate various learning technologies and digital resources to enhance understanding and retention. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and motivation in learners. Manage ILP. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and curriculum development activities.

Experience



Proven experience working with students across different age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. Background in curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse educational settings. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and computer skills necessary for virtual or hybrid tutoring environments. Experience in specialized education areas such as special education, early childhood education, preschool experience, or higher education teaching is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve their academic potential through innovative teaching methods and personaliseed support. QTS status preferred Subject specialist preffered Enhance DBS required. Safeguarding training certificate required,if not training will be provided. SEND awareness qualification level 1,2 and 3 advantage.

Pay: 24.00-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 - 30.0 per week

Bachelor's (required)
Experience:

Teaching math: 1 year (preferred)
