Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated

Teacher of Mathematics

who will:

Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 & 4 Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students Assess, monitor and report on student progress; provide feedback and support where needed Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development Maintain high standards of behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and contribute to the wider life of the school

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of all students. Teach various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. Assess student progress through regular testing and assignments, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning. Utilise behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students who require additional assistance. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the educational programme. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methodologies and advancements in mathematics education. Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons and providing tailored resources.

Skills

Strong proficiency in Mathematics with the ability to teach various levels effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex concepts clearly. Experience in mentoring or tutoring students in mathematics or related subjects. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment. Familiarity with scientific research principles, particularly in relation to biochemistry or laboratory experience, is an advantage. Proficiency in proofreading educational materials for clarity and accuracy. A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
