Responsibilities

Educate students on various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to support students who may require additional assistance. Employ effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment. Assess student progress through regular testing and provide constructive feedback to enhance their understanding. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate mathematics with other subjects. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods accordingly.

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex mathematical concepts to students. Proficiency in mentoring and tutoring, demonstrating patience and understanding towards student needs. Experience in behaviour management techniques to foster a respectful classroom atmosphere. Knowledge of scientific research methodologies related to mathematics education is advantageous. Familiarity with laboratory work and biochemistry can enhance the teaching of applied mathematics concepts. Excellent proofreading skills for reviewing educational materials and assessments for accuracy.
