Would you relish the opportunity to teach in a highly inclusive and innovative establishment? We believe Willow Bank School is a centre of best practice for personal development, pastoral care and teaching and learning. We require a dynamic, committed, and hardworking teacher to join us who is passionate about pupil engagement and progression. Willow Bank School is an SEMH provision for pupils aged 8 - 16.
We are seeking a Maths teacher to lead our Maths subject development, who has high expectations and is committed to helping pupils to become confident, secure and happy learners. Experience in teaching at secondary level is essential, with experience in SEMH desirable. The ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions for mixed ability classes of approximately 8 pupils is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that pupils' special educational needs are being addressed in line with the pupil's individual ECHP whilst having due regard for the school's philosophy and policies.
This exciting post requires a conscientious and energetic team player. You can be part of a team which believes that every day is a fresh opportunity to succeed. Working with smaller class sizes, you will get to know each pupil well, have the capacity to fully personalise learning, and be encouraged to practice creativity in your pedagogical approaches to nurture our pupils' natural curiosity.
If you are a passionate and outstanding teacher, are flexible, imaginative and enthusiastic, we would love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to shape the lives of young people in St Helens.
In April 2022, Ofsted judged Willow Bank School as "Good".
