The Role



This is an exciting and unique opportunity in a rapidly growing tuition firm offering a combination of reliable, regular income with flexibility in working hours and opportunities to work from home. Support young people in their academic goals and be part of a dynamic team. You will be a tutor that supplements their work hours with administration for the business in order to maintain full time hours. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt the role and duties to their personal strengths.

A minimum of 20 hours of tuition across evenings, and weekends. Work hours will include time to travel between students but not travel to the first or from the last. Some tuition may be able to take place online. Remaining hours must be spent on administration with at least 5 hours taking place in the office, other hours may be completed on a work from home basis.

This is on a temporary contract for a year with the intention to become a permanent role. The duties, days, and proportion of online and face to face work/tutoring and administrative work is flexible for the right candidate. We are looking for a candidate to grow with the business and shape the new role to suit them.

In addition to the monthly salary, an additional fixed travel bonus will be paid each month up to 100 depending on the amount of travel.

Start date September 1st 2025.

Administrative duties



Non-tuition hours are to be spent working on administrative tasks including but not limited to:

Create advertising content Social Media advertising Blog articles Content creation for tuition resources You will have the opportunity to work on projects as suited to your individual interests.

Tuition duties



Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of each student. Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop effective learning strategies. Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding progress and areas for improvement. Educate students using engaging methods that promote understanding and retention of material. Provide assistance with homework, projects, and exam preparation. Maintain accurate records of student progress and report on achievements regularly. Collaborate with special education professionals when necessary to support students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements



Proven experience working with children in an educational setting. Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Ability to educate and inspire students while adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Knowledge or experience in special education is a plus but not mandatory. A patient, empathetic approach towards teaching and learning challenges.
