We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves providing personalised tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of each student, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. The Tutor will work with children of varying ages and abilities, including those requiring special education support.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects. Develop customised lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student. Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement. Educate students on study techniques, organisational skills, and subject matter comprehension. Assist students with homework and exam preparation, ensuring they understand key concepts. Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes learning and confidence. Collaborate with teachers and parents to track student progress and adapt tutoring strategies as necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable. Ability to educate diverse learners, adapting methods to suit individual needs. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 20.00-21.00 per hour
