Job Description

Enthusiastic and reliable tutors to support students with English, maths and science at GCSE/A level at our Darlington, Lobley Hill, Stockton-on-Tees, South Shields, Sunderland and Whickham learning centres from September 2025.

There are various sessions available.

Duties:

To support students to understand the concepts within their tuition programme.

To accurately mark, provide constructive feedback and record progress of student's work in accordance with set guidelines.

To build and maintain positive working relationships with, students, other staff and parents.

To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required. There may be a necessity for these to be outside of normal working hours.

To have a friendly, approachable and professional manner with excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will have been educated to at least A-level in the core subjects in the UK. Experience of supporting learners both face-to-face and online is desirable but not essential.

The post is subject to a check being carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) regarding any previous criminal record.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 8 per week

Education:

A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Work Location: In person
