We are currently seeking tutors for our tuition center, Brilliant Minds Academy, located in Seven Kings, Ilford.
We are in need of tutors proficient in Mathematics, English, Science for Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4, and also 11 plus. We will only be considering candidates who are currently pursuing a degree related to the subject they are applying to teach. Please do not apply for this position if you are a GCSE/a-level student.
We are seeking confident candidates with excellent communication skills who are comfortable speaking to a class of students and liaising with parents. Please do not apply if you would be uncomfortable with these responsibilities.
The pay for this position is set at 13 per hour, and sessions are scheduled on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4.00 pm.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support. Maximum 4 students per tutor.
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on students' specific needs and learning styles
- Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject matter
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and other stakeholders
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special education needs or learning difficulties
- Patience and empathy to create a supportive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Excellent organizational skills to track student progress and maintain accurate records
