Pink Tile Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated

Maths Specialist (Unqualified)

to work with a supportive secondary school in Robertsbridge. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for mathematics who may not hold formal teaching qualifications, but are eager to inspire students and gain valuable classroom experience.

The role:

The successful candidate will be part of the Maths department, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. With guidance from experienced staff and full support from Pink Tile Education, this position provides the chance to develop classroom skills while making a positive difference in young people's education.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering pre-prepared Maths lessons to secondary students (ages 11-16) Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment Supporting students of varying abilities to access and enjoy mathematics Encouraging participation, progress, and confidence in problem-solving and numeracy skills Marking and providing feedback in line with school policies Working closely with the Maths department to follow schemes of work Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and student welfare

Requirements:

A genuine interest in mathematics and education Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to motivate and inspire secondary-age students A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Up-to-date safeguarding training, or willingness to complete training provided by Pink Tile Education
