Duties

Educate students in mathematical concepts, ensuring clarity and understanding through effective teaching methods. Provide tutoring and additional support to students who may require extra help in grasping mathematical principles. Mentor students, guiding them in their academic pursuits and helping them set achievable goals. Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a respectful and conducive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Engage in scientific research or laboratory activities related to mathematics when applicable.

Skills

Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in mathematics with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience in mentoring or tutoring students, demonstrating a commitment to their academic success. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Familiarity with special education practices is an advantage, allowing for inclusive teaching approaches. Attention to detail for proofreading educational materials and assessments to ensure accuracy.
