We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons tailored to diverse student needs, including those in special education programmes.
Foster a positive learning environment through effective behaviour management strategies.
Mentor students by providing personalised tutoring sessions to reinforce understanding of mathematical principles.
Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials that integrate scientific research and laboratory experiences where applicable.
Proofread and review educational materials to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Support students in developing critical thinking skills and scientific literacy, particularly in areas such as biochemistry when relevant.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and behavioural concerns.
Incorporate laboratory experience into lessons when appropriate to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts related to mathematics.
Requirements
Proven experience in teaching mathematics at various levels, including special education settings.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Knowledge of biochemistry, scientific research methods, and laboratory experience is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Experience in behaviour management techniques to maintain a productive classroom environment.
Proficiency in proofreading educational materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
Prior tutoring experience is advantageous, especially in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
A recognised teaching qualification or relevant educational background in mathematics or science disciplines is essential.
