We are looking for a fully qualified (or equivalent) Maths teacher to join Suffolk's latest teacher led Alternative Provision. At Liminal Education we offer a soft school day focussing on core subjects to small groups of vulnerable students. The team is small and the environment is relaxed, calm and supportive.
Please be aware that this is a self employed position which involves registering for self assessment. This is a simple process and support will be provided.
Duties
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Teach mainly KS2-3 Maths with functional skills.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning journey.
Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Communicate effectively with parents and comissioning schools regarding student progress and any concerns.
Skills
Strong knowledge of Maths to GCSE and functional skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to engage students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching methods.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Patience and adaptability in managing classroom dynamics.
