The Youth Education Service are working in partnership with a mainstream Secondary school in Whiston. The school is a nurturing and inclusive school based in Whiston. The Role:


We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated

Maths Teacher

to join their team ASAP. As part of a dynamic and supportive teaching staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting them in developing a love for learning and achieving positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students, in line with the national curriculum. Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Work closely with the school's pastoral and SEN teams to support students' emotional and behavioural needs. Inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, promoting a positive attitude towards education. Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, collaborative projects, and school events.

Essential Requirements:



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching KS3. Ability to differentiate lessons to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. A creative, flexible, and patient approach to teaching, with a dedication to improving student outcomes.

Desirable:



Experience working in an alternative provision or with students who have SEMH needs. Knowledge of therapeutic or restorative approaches to behaviour management. Willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
