How would you like to get paid for five days, but only work four?

At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance -- and we're putting wellbeing first.

That's why we're proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full-time pay.

Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW -- and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. So whether it's already in place or just around the corner, now's the perfect time to join #teamOFG.

Job Title: Maths Teacher

Location: New Options School - Guildford, Surrey GU2 4DU

Salary: Up to 45,000.00 per annum depending experience (Not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Start Date: September 2026 (maybe earlier depending on business need)

We're excited to be opening a brand-new specialist school in Guildford as part of Options Autism, and we're now looking for a committed and talented Maths Teacher to join our founding team.

This is a unique opportunity to help build something from the ground up -- creating a learning environment where children and young people with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher at New Options School, you'll be more than just a subject expert -- you'll be a mentor, a motivator, and a consistent positive influence in the lives of our pupils.

You will plan and deliver outstanding lessons tailored to each pupil's individual learning journey. You'll also lead targeted interventions and contribute to cross-curricular learning, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape a maths curriculum that is accessible, meaningful and impactful.

In this role, you'll enjoy a balance of independence and support. You'll have the freedom to be creative in your teaching while benefitting from a collaborative and experienced multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages

Designing and leading small group and 1:1 intervention sessions

Using data and observation to assess, monitor, and report on progress

Supporting pupils' personal development, emotional wellbeing and confidence

Working collaboratively with other subject teachers and support staff

Taking on additional curriculum responsibilities as agreed with the Headteacher

Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Who we are looking for

You are a passionate, committed Maths teacher who is excited by the opportunity to make a real difference. You believe in every young person's ability to grow -- and you know how to adapt your teaching to meet complex needs.

You'll be a reflective practitioner, with the creativity, resilience, and empathy needed to succeed in an SEN environment. Most importantly, you'll be driven by the desire to give every learner the tools and confidence they need to succeed in their own way.

Essential:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience or interest in teaching pupils with autism, SEMH, or complex needs

Excellent subject knowledge in Maths, and a passion for teaching it creatively

A positive, solution-focused mindset and a flexible approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

Experience in a specialist or SEN setting

Familiarity with trauma-informed or therapeutic practices

Knowledge of alternative communication methods
