We are seeking 2 new team members to provide face-to-face educational support to students in Science and Maths. We are looking for people who are dedicated and passionate to supporting children who may have various educational needs.
As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic goals. This role will require you to teach and lead a small group varying from 2-6 students of similar abilities and ages.
These tuition sessions operate during after school hours in 80 minute timeslots.The Maths tutor
must
have capacity for the below sessions (and room for more).
Maths Hours Needed:
- Monday 4pm - 7pm
- Saturday 11am - 12:20pm
Key responsibilities
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you are providing subject tuition in
- Educate and assist students in your specialised subject
- Tailor teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
- Create engaging and interactive learning sessions
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Provide feedback to students and parents on performance
Skills
- Time management
- Experience working with children
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of special education techniques
- Ability to provide group tutoring
- Strong understanding of various tutoring methods
Experience
- Worked in a school/tutoring environment (in the past 6 months)
- 2+ years experience in your field
- SEND experience (beneficial, not necessary)
