Mrs Strauss Tutoring is a tutoring agency offering home tuition in Southend-on-Sea and Chelmsford, Essex. We are professional, customer-centric, and our goal is to to provide quality home tuition to students that supports their school studies.

We are looking for an experienced Maths Tutor to join our team and provide academic support to students of primary and/or secondary age. The successful candidate will be able to assess student needs, develop individualised learning plans, and provide expert instruction in Maths. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge base in the subject area of maths, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Please note - this job is for home tutoring (not online) in Chelmsford and surrounding areas only. You will need to be able to drive to students homes.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one instruction to students. Assess student's strengths and weaknesses in order to create individualized learning plans. Develop lesson plans that are tailored to the student's needs and abilities. Provide feedback on student progress and help them stay motivated. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students. Encourage students to ask questions and participate in discussions.
What to Expect:

Flexible schedule, you agree the day/time with your students. No chasing payment, we collect and you are automatically paid once you confirm tutoring has taken place. As much or as little work as you want.
Essential:

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. The Right to Work in the UK. Enhanced DBS
2 references. Experience teaching Maths at primary and/or secondary level. Available after school hours and/or weekends. Available for face-to-face tuition in

Chelmsford and surrounding areas

. Fully committed to Safeguarding of children and young people. Excellent in communication, timekeeping, and reliable.
This can be completed/updated for a fee.
Desireable:

Experience in 1:1 tuition.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: 20.00-30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 15 per week
