Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable
Maths Tutor / Supervisor
to lead an after-schoolMaths Club
at a primary school inSwindon
. This role provides the opportunity to inspire children through fun and engaging mathematical activities, helping them build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love of numbers in a supportive environment.The club runs for
one hour per week, Friday, 1:00pm - 2:00pm
, giving children a weekly opportunity to explore mathematical concepts, games, and challenges.Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise children during maths sessions in a safe and engaging environment. Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that develop numeracy, problem-solving, and logical thinking. Encourage curiosity, confidence, and enjoyment in learning mathematics. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff about children's progress. Ensure the learning space and resources are safe, organized, and ready for use.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching or leading maths sessions for children. Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, fun, and creative way. Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff. A background in maths education or related subjects is highly desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
Work Location: In person
Expected start date: 08/09/2025
