Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide personalised educational support to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with the ability to engage effectively with children of various ages. This role involves creating tailored lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages academic growth.

This would be to run an afterschool Maths club , at a primary school in Somerset BA5.

Wednesdays or Thursdays 3:20pm - 4:20pm

Responsibilities

Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in specific subjects or skills. Develop customised lesson plans based on individual student needs and learning styles. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and motivation in students. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational requirements.

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of educational principles. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and their families. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student assessments effectively.
