CAY students have diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with autism, anxiety and other SEND. The role requires excellent communication skills, and flexibility in approach to learning and to engage students.
Primary Duties:
Teach assigned students in the subjects agreed
Support students as required, particularly with English, and maths
Provide targeted support to individual students or groups to facilitate understanding and progress.
Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the evaluation of learning outcomes.
Support and provide the highest quality learning experiences
Have high expectations for all students
Undertake relevant training to support students' learning needs.
Participate as a college tutor and role model for students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
Collaborate with other teachers and administrative staff to enhance educational practices.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
Specific Tasks
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
Qualifications
GCSE level 4 or equivalent in English and maths
QTS or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
