The
M&E Assistant
will:
Assist various trades as required, particularly when health and safety denotes that a two-person team is required (i.e.confined space entry)
Unblock wastewater pumps in Wastewater Treatment Plants and Wastewater Pumping Stations
Carry out preventative maintenance on pumping equipment as and when required
Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to
Sourcing materials, collecting from wholesalers and distributing as necessary
Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works
Ensure our client is kept up to date at all times
Carry out all works within agreed timescales
Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
About You
Essential Criteria
1. Full Valid UK Driver's License
2. Previous experience working around mechanical or electrical equipment
Desirable Criteria
1. CSR Card or equivalent
2. Previous experience working in the water industry
3. Confined space training
3. National Water Hygiene card holder
4. Confined Spaces and Water Hygiene Training will be provided if required
