Aon are currently recruiting a Marine & Energy Composite Broker to join our team in London.

As a member of the Marine & Energy Composite team you will support Account Executives (AE\xe2\x80\x99s) and senior members of the team to implement reinsurance transactions and proactively lead client and market specific projects throughout the lifecycle of engagement.

About the Role

As a member of the Marine & Energy Composite team you will support Account Executives (AE\xe2\x80\x99s) and senior members of the team to implement reinsurance transactions and proactively lead client and market specific projects throughout the lifecycle of engagement, including:

• Working closely with AE\xe2\x80\x99s and Analytics Lead\xe2\x80\x99s to proactively manage the renewal process and successfully transact a reinsurance placement including
• Analysing clients\xe2\x80\x99 reinsurance information to identify risk transfer solutions
• Crafting proposed reinsurance structure and setting desk pricing with AE and Analytics Lead considering KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, market dynamics and economic benefit
• Managing client expectations by communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes to client in advance of placement milestones
• Playing an active role in marketing and placement, handling queries, and providing regular client updates
• Developing and delivering strategic account reviews and account plans
• Sourcing and actively developing new revenue opportunities in conjunction with AE\xe2\x80\x99s and client teams
• Supporting the implementation of client plans and client growth objectives, including RFP involvement
• Supporting team projects by applying analytical skills to aid effective planning and identifying growth opportunities
• Actively assisting with the development and administration of specific resources to advance market intelligence, including liaising with internal and external sources to advance market insight

About you

• Minimum of 5 years of appropriate reinsurance broking or technical and analytical underwriting experience including project and account management experience
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Encourages dedication and action in others (both internally and externally) through strong communication skills.
• Considers the underwriter\xe2\x80\x99s perspective to adapt approach
• Invests time and resource in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients\xe2\x80\x99 needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
