The Vacancy


Want to join a leading international, independent real estate consultancy with an all together different approach? Due to exponential growth and a consistent workload, we are currently looking for an Intermediate/Senior Engineer (mechanical or electrical bias) to join our Operational Engineering team. You will be based in one of our London offices to cover a consistent pipeline of work across a variety of market sectors across the London area. We undertake a lot of surveys and refurbishment projects within commercial office and industrial spaces for very high-profile clients, so you will get an exciting and varied workload from the get-go. As part of Hollis\xe2\x80\x99 Operational Engineering team, you will get valuable exposure to all aspects of MEP Consultancy, can work on unique projects and alongside some of our most forward-thinking minds. If you\xe2\x80\x99re not chartered through a professional body already, Hollis is CIBSE accredited and can offer extensive experience assisting engineers through their chartership and membership routes and will ensure you\xe2\x80\x99re able to achieve your career aspirations. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of this exciting role and act as a key player to support the continued growth of this successful service. You can expect consistent support to advance your career and will be entrusted to help shape our junior engineers for the future.
Responsibilities

  • Undertaking Dilapidations reports
  • Producing pre-acquisition and disposal technical due diligence reports
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance CAPEX reports
  • Management of projects and acting as project lead
  • Support internal M&E teams with the delivery of projects and our FM Consultancy team to ensure client satisfaction through high quality execution of planned/reactive maintenance work
  • Input into innovation; continual improvement of services and products
  • Supporting the wider teams providing technical support and maintenance management duties
  • Meet target KPIs on WIP management including HIW
  • Business Development and Client Care awareness, cross-selling of Hollis\xe2\x80\x99 services and effectively managing relationships
  • Opportunity to manage and mentor graduates and junior engineers
Your Profile Experience
  • Relevant engineering degree, inclusive of building services modules or equivalent education/practical experience
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills are required and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues is essential
  • Client facing with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within a consultancy
  • Proficient in MS Office packages
  • Knowledge of MS Projects, IES, MBS advantageous
  • Understanding of JCT contracts, additionally beneficial to understand NEC, Bluebeam and Auto CAD
