Imperium Commodity Search is working with a well established and growing Asian based trading house seeking to grow their European/Middle East meat trading team further through the addition of an experienced frozen chicken/pork/meats trader. Our client has an established presence in Europe with remote traders and is open to candidates seeking to be based in any geography with extensive travel to meet clients, suppliers and the head office in Asia.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Generate profitable returns on back to back meat trading (primarily chicken and swine)
• Maintain relationships with frozen meat producers/suppliers and build new lines for product purchase across chicken, pork, beef and other meats etc.
• Bring over existing relationships with customers in the frozen meat space and actively generate new relationships with customers across FMCG, meat foods manufacturers, wholesalers, supermarkets and importers etc.
• Keep up to date on meat pricing, markets, movements and supply/demand pressure to capitalise on trading opportunity
• Work with internal/external teams on hedging, risk management and operations
• Ensure smooth operational fluency with internal and external logistics personnel

Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in a back to back frozen meat (chicken/swine/pork) trading position on the assigned geography
• Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial but not required)
• Portfolio of suppliers and customers in the chicken/pork trading space
• Excellent knowledge of the global meat trading landscape
• Desire to build out a profitable personal meat trading desk in a growing company
• Ability to travel for customer and supplier meetings, as well as to the head office in Asia
