Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties

Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members to plan maintenance schedules and optimise equipment performance. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment as required. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
