We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of Vehicles but mainly Volvo and Mercedes Coaches. Our Fleet is one of the newest in the country. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for technical work and problem-solving to contribute to the smooth running of our operations.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently to minimise downtime Replace worn or damaged parts using appropriate tools and techniques Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components is desirable Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively Experience with diagnostic tools and repair software is advantageous Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

The working pattern is a Six day shift, followed by Three days off

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
