We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate. Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Troubleshoot mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld during all operations. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery. Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks in the workplace.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within industrial or automotive environments. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are desirable.
