We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery when required Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively Experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment is desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or related fields are preferred but not essential for experienced candidates willing to learn on the job
