We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate
Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic techniques
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts utilised
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and minimise operational disruptions
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required
Skills
Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment for repairs
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively
Good organisational skills with attention to detail when documenting maintenance activities
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent are desirable but not essential
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving equipment transportation or site visits
