We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Mechanic will ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles and machinery, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they become serious issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
- Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or machinery sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or automotive engineering are preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for this role.
