We are seeking a Mechanic to join our busy workshop.
The role
You will be carrying out a variety of functions (sometimes physically demanding) to ensure production targets are met whilst recognising, reacting, and supporting the company needs. The ideal candidate will have an amazing work ethic, hands on and can-do attitude. Be able to think independently, follow instruction, processes and demonstrate good mechanical ability.
Daily tasks will consist of
Full disassembly of aircraft wheels.
Initial test and disassemble of aircraft brakes
Dismounting of aircraft tyres from wheels
Technical cleaning of all wheel and brake components with the use of workshop machinery.
Operation of the paint removal machines.
Reassembly of wheels, mounting of aircraft tyres including torquing, inflation, and pressure testing.
Reassembly of brake units, function testing and fault isolation.
Reading and understanding of component maintenance manuals and following technical instructions.
Full training will be provided.
About You
Have a mechanical background or can a keen mechanical/engineering interest.
Good hand eye coordination.
Basic hand tool knowledge.
Enjoy a fast paced and changing environment.
Fluent oral and written English.
GSCE pass in English and Maths or equivalent.
