Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently and effectively to minimise downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out. Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld during all maintenance procedures. Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required. Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, , and electrical components is desirable. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or related fields are desirable. A valid UK driving licence is essential for roles involving equipment transportation or on-site mobility.
