Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles. Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in a timely manner. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational standards. Assist in the installation of new parts to vehicles. Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role. Minimum 10 years. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred. A valid driving licence is desirable for mobility across sites. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to carry out a minimum of clutch replacements, timing belts and turbos.
