Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime. Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard Collaborate with other team members to optimise operational processes. As a Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic you will carry out all work completely and effectively Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. Diagnose faults accurately and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out. Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role are:

Have experience working within a car dealership or an independent garage/ car supermarket Completed your MOT tester course class 1, 2, 4 or 7 Experience of working on commercial vehicles/ LCV / cars Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but not essential

Skills

Proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively. Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to report issues clearly and work collaboratively with team members. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical maintenance are desirable.
