We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment across our facilities. Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and techniques. Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical parts. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational standards. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades as required. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise operational disruptions.

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role is preferred. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools is essential. Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to maintenance work is required. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.
