We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic software
Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components in a timely manner
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance schedules and procedures
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary parts and tools
Requirements
Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred
Valid UK driving licence is desirable for on-site repairs and installations
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
