Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and vehicles are in optimal working condition, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre replacements. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance overall productivity.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. REQUIREMENT: 5+ Years experience Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and automotive technology. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive repair or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not mandatory. A valid driving licence is required; additional qualifications in HGV mechanics would be beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.50-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
