Mechanic / Vehicle Technican who is experienced in vehicle repairs, maintenance and diagnostic work with excellent customer facing skills and a \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude is required for a growing Car Dealership and Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Centre based in Kelso, Scottish Borders, Scotland.

SALARY: up to \xc2\xa316.00 per Hour (Depending on Experience) + Overtime Available + NO weekends + 28 Days Annual Leave + Free Parking + Employee Discounts + Great Working Conditions + Company Uniform

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mechanic / Vehicle Technican who is experienced in vehicle repairs, maintenance and diagnostic work with excellent customer facing skills and a \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude.

The business offers Vehicle Sales, Breakdown Recovery and Garage Services (Servicing, Repairs, Maintenance etc.) from their fully equipped workshop in Kelso.

Working as a Mechanic / Vehicle Technican you will join the company\xe2\x80\x99s expanding team where you will prepare vehicles for sale to ensure they are mechanically sound and ready for re-sale, in addition to working on customer vehicles.

As the Mechanic / Vehicle Technican you must be reliable with a great work ethic and team working skills. You will also need a driving licence with a helpful and professional manner when liaising with customers.

As a successful candidate there will be opportunities to advance within the business to other positions as they become available.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician include:

• Perform diagnostic work, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles

• Experience inspecting and changing if required timing chains / belts, clutches, engine work, and general vehicle systems

• Ensure the efficient and effective repair of customers\' vehicles

• Prepare vehicles for sale by conducting thorough inspections and necessary repairs

• Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills, providing clear explanations of repair issues and recommended solutions

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout interactions

• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Must have previous commercial experience

• Must have a full Driving Licence

• Excellent customer service and customer facing skills

• Any welding skills would be desirable
