Looking to join an easy going growing company? We specialise in building Landrover Defender's from the ground up. The work is varied with not one build being the same.

We are looking to hire for a few different roles

(Lead mechanic / Manager), Apprentice Mechanic, General Labour, Vehicle Spraying Operative.

Lead Mechanic; This role is to cover being a hands on role taking the lead on all builds, overseeing work completed by other team members and managing the workshop. Assisting with and providing guidance to other team members whilst stripping donor vehicles.

Apprentice Mechanic; Open to anyone with a genuine interest in learning, this can be through a traditional apprenticeship or via the company.

General labour; The role will involve stripping vehicles, organising parts, general labour works throughout the workshop and assisting other team members where required.

Vehicle Spraying Operative; ideally looking for an experienced vehicle spraying operative, attention to detail and a perfectionist is a must.

Mechanics with less experience are also welcomed to apply for a role as we have a variety of different positions available.

Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. The position is paid, including internship opportunities, and requires a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues. Perform repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance on mechanical systems to minimise downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety procedures are followed during all maintenance operations. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Experience



Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role is preferred. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components is advantageous. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair techniques relevant to machinery maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering are desirable but not essential.
