Building Services Group Limited are an expanding Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Design Consultancy based in West Kent. We work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, including hospitality, sport and leisure, residential, and commercial developments. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Syntegra Consulting, a multi-award-winning International planning specialist and multi-discipline engineering design consultancy.

We are seeking skilled Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers to join our growing team. The role involves taking projects from concept through to completion to include design development, project management, and construction-stage support, working closely with clients and the wider design team.

The positions are office based.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed mechanical and/or electrical designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard software. Develop MEP designs across RIBA Stages 1-4, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and equipment selections. Undertake site inspections and monitoring during the construction phase to ensure compliance with design intent. Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants during the projects. Support project delivery by contributing to coordination, technical reviews, and problem-solving. Ensure all work complies with company procedures, current legislation, and CDM regulations.

Skills & Experience

3-5 years' relevant industry experience in mechanical or electrical building services design (preferred). Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit Good understanding of building services systems and construction processes. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.

Qualifications

HNC in Building Services Design Engineering / Level 4 Building Services Design Technician or equivalent (minimum). A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineering is desirable but not essential.
