Our team produce innovative, market leading products measuring and controlling gases in portable applications as well as continuous measurement in critical processes and specialist systems.

Job description:



We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have good experience in mechanical design for industrial products including machined metal parts and pressure sealing.

As a mechanical engineer, you will need to be familiar with all stages of the development process including specification development, 3D concept design, material selection, prototype development, 2D drawings, validation testing, and launch into production. Ability to perform tolerance analysis and design for manufacture are essential, as well as working with suppliers to achieve cost effective designs.

You will be working alongside other team members including electronic and software engineers.

Experience of aesthetic design and styling would be beneficial for this role.

Alongside mechanical duties, this role includes responsibility for updating and maintaining business quality processes for internal documentation, and external hazardous area certification audits including ATEX.

This is a primarily on-site role.

Qualifications and skills required:



Degree or equivalent level in mechanical engineering Solidworks experience Minimum 5 years mechanical engineering experience in an industrial setting Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong personal motivation Continuous improvement mindset

Desirable skills



ATEX or hazardous area certified product development Mechanical design revision control systems
