Mechanical bias Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Monday to Friday DAYS only - 8am - 4pm
Trafford Park
40k Base salary + bonus & attractive additional earning potential
Job Purpose:
A highly reputable manufacturer of speciality chemicals and alloys are seeking a proactive maintenance engineer professional to minimise downtime, conduct planned maintenance and continuous improvement tasks across site.
The successful candidate will be a hands on, Multi-Skilled Engineer with a mechanical bias and have a desire to improve machinery availability, life cycle costs and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive repairs to a variety equipment and control systems
- Carry out planned Maintenance activities.
- Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
- Supervision of outside contractors/service engineers and tradesmen as required
- Management of small projects such as equipment installation or staff training
- To develop and implement process improvements
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience post apprenticeship in a multi-skilled maintenance role.
- You will come from a manufacturing, industrial or process background.
- Electrical fault finding and isolation skills and ideally an electrical qualification.
