Mechanical Building Services Engineer ( Data Centres)

Job Description

As a Mechanical Building Services Engineer, you will be a key part of the Building Services Engineering team, working on multidisciplinary projects providing guidance to graduate engineers and working alongside building physicists, sustainability consultants, energy and carbon consultants and BIM modellers. This team forms part of the wider region which includes civil, structural, fire, acoustics, specialist lighting, and other engineering disciplines.



In this role you will:


Play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion specifically in the

Data Centre

sector.

Apply your engineering expertise to shape our projects, moving them towards net zero carbon.

Work in an interdisciplinary environment and aim to design buildings that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact.

Offer consultancy advice and prepare design reports, specifications, drawings and models to meet project deadlines.

Play a part in the ongoing digital transformation of our business, seeking new ways to increase our efficiency through automation and to offer new services to our clients through our integrated digital approach to design.

Is this role right for you?




We're looking for a candidate who:


Is degree qualified in Mechanical, Building Services or Architectural Engineering.

Is working towards Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution such as IMechE or CIBSE.

Has demonstrable background in the field of mechanical building services design with experience in the

Data Centre

sector.

Has knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of both energy and carbon and satisfying associated regulatory requirements.

* Has a background of working within a BIM environment using Revit.
