Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated

Mechanical Data Simulation Intern

to join our Engineering and R&D team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about mechanical systems, computational modelling, and using data-driven simulations to solve real-world engineering problems. You will work closely with senior engineers to support simulation workflows, validate datasets, and contribute to performance analysis of mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in running

mechanical simulations

using tools such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, MATLAB, Python, or other CAE software. Support in

building, cleaning, and analysing mechanical data

for simulation input and validation. Help develop and optimise

finite element models

, thermal models, and structural simulations. Perform

post-processing of simulation results

to extract insights, performance metrics, and failure indicators. Prepare

technical reports, documentation, and visualisations

for internal engineering teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, and data engineering. Contribute to

automation scripts or dashboards

to improve simulation workflows (Python/MATLAB preferred). Participate in design reviews and propose improvements based on simulation findings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Currently pursuing a

Bachelor's or Master's degree

in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, or related field. Basic understanding of

mechanics, thermodynamics, structural analysis, and material science

. Familiarity with at least one CAE tool (e.g.,

ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, Fusion 360, Abaqus

). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with

MATLAB or Python

for numerical modelling or data analysis. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and mechanical specifications. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with

Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Knowledge of

data processing, automation scripts

, or machine-learning-based simulation tools. Understanding of real-world mechanical testing and validation processes. Previous internship or academic project in mechanical simulation or modelling.

What You Will Gain

Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulation software and engineering workflows. Exposure to

real-world mechanical design and optimisation challenges

. Mentorship from experienced mechanical simulation and R&D engineers. Opportunity to contribute to impactful engineering projects and innovations. A potential pathway to a

future full-time engineering role

based on internship performance.

How to Apply

Please submit your

CV

,

academic transcripts

, and (optional)

portfolio or project links

showcasing relevant simulation or engineering work.
