Design Engineer

Responsibilities & Duties

Using SolidWorks to design bespoke equipment for the Material Handling Industry. Create Bills Of Materials and Use and ERP system to support factory operations. Producing precise engineering and manufacturing drawings. Test Material Handling equipment to meet relevant industry standards. Ensure all designs and documentation meet relevant ISO standards and comply with company's internal procedures. Assisting with Engineering R&D Projects. Providing support to the Sales Team to find solutions to complex engineering and material handling issues. Assisting the quality department to implement quality controls and to analyse and solve any quality issue which may arise. Providing support to the manufacturing teams, including purchasing, production, quality, electrical & control systems. Liase with customers/dealers directly to provide a solution to suit their needs. Project manage any new designs through from Order until Delivery. Update Manuals for each specific model.

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Engineering is essential. 2-3 Years experience in a similar Engineering role. Good communication skills are essential. Knowledge of ERP Systems is desirable Good problem-solving skills and an ability to generate practical solutions as part of a highly motivated engineering team. Be proficient in the use of 3D SolidWorks or similar Ability to work both, as an individually and as part of a team is essential. Must be a quick learner and have a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work well under pressure. Good problem-solving skills and an ability to generate practical solutions as part of a highly motivated engineering team.
