Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000
Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design process of products with the use of Autodesk Inventor.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview
- Developing models and drawings of new and existing products with the use of Autodesk Inventor, whilst ensuring regulatory standards are adhered to.
- Producing pre-sales drawings to accompany quotations for customers
- Liaise with production teams to oversee production process and resolve any design queries.
- Modify and refine drawings as required.
- Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
- Ensure costs are kept to a minimum/working within defined budgets.
- Review processes and highlight and implement improvements where appropriate.
- 2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
- Experience with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Catia, Inventor or Solidedge. Autodesk Inventor is preferred.
- Based in commutable distance of Basingstoke
- A can-do attitude and ability to work on own initiative
- An understanding of quality processes
- Salary 30,000 - 35,000
- Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position.
